COMSATS University Islamabad (former COMSATS Institute of Information Technology) started its Attock Campus in 2004 and since then it has been offering undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Sciences, Management Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. CUI Attock is becoming the regional center of excellence in providing education in sciences and business administration and the graduates of CUI Attock are currently serving in various organizations, both in private and public sector, in small and large scale organizations. The graduates of CUI are the real ambassadors and evidence of the quality of education, we provide.
There are approximately 2650 students enrolled in and more than 60% of the students are studying under various scholarships schemes from provincial and the national governments and foreign donor agencies.
The COMSATS University Islamabad envisions assuming a truly national character for itself in the years to come. It envisions having presence in all provinces of the country. It sees for itself a position among the top five (5) universities in the country; among top 100 universities in the developing countries and top 500 universities in the world respectively in the 5, 10 and 15 years time horizon. Focus in the period 2005-10 has been on science led engineering; in the period 2010-15 on initiating social sciences programs and in the period 2015-20 will on establishing programs in medical and agricultural sciences.
The COMSATS University Islamabad founded in the belief that understanding enriches all people, is dedicated to the search for truth through advancement of learning and extending the frontiers of knowledge; to the sharing of this knowledge through education in an academically diverse range of disciplines and subjects; and to the application of this knowledge to benefit the people of Pakistan in particular, and the Muslim Ummah, and the world, at large.
